Motorola is preparing to launch its ultra-slim Edge 70 smartphone in the Indian market, aiming to attract buyers with a combination of sleek design and upgraded hardware. According to early information published on Flipkart, the device is expected to arrive very soon, with most indications pointing to a release around December 15. Although the company has not yet confirmed an exact date, the listing suggests that Motorola wants to make a strong entry ahead of the year-end shopping period in India.
One of the key highlights of the Edge 70 is that Motorola intends to maintain its remarkably thin 5.99-millimeter profile while still offering a larger battery capacity for Indian consumers. The standard global model features a 4,800mAh silicon-carbon battery, but reports suggest the Indian version may include an enhanced unit to deliver longer usage without compromising the phone’s lightweight feel. This combination of a slim body and upgraded battery makes the device particularly appealing for users who want portability without sacrificing endurance.
In addition to its design and battery improvements, the Motorola Edge 70 comes equipped with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM, and as much as 512GB of internal storage. The phone also features a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1220p resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and vibrant colors. On the back, a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup aims to deliver strong performance in both daylight and low-light conditions. Motorola has also included 68-watt fast charging, giving the Edge 70 an edge in daily convenience. Pricing in India is expected to start around ₹35,000, roughly equivalent to $389, positioning it as a competitive option in the upper-mid-range smartphone category.
