Apple has officially released iOS 26 to supported iPhones, and one of its most eye-catching features is the introduction of 3D Spatial Wallpapers. This new option brings photos to life by adding depth, parallax movement, and layered illusions to the Lock Screen. When you tilt or move your iPhone, the wallpaper elements shift subtly, creating a sense of motion that makes your device feel more dynamic and personal.

Setting up a Spatial Wallpaper is simple, though not every image is compatible. Portrait photos, landscapes, or images with clear foreground and background elements work best. To enable it, users need to long-press on the Lock Screen, tap the “+” button to add a new wallpaper, select a photo, and then choose the “3D” or “Spatial” option. Once saved, the wallpaper comes alive with interactive movement. However, the feature may not function when Low Power Mode or reduced motion settings are enabled. It also performs best on newer models such as the iPhone 13 and later.

The Spatial Wallpapers complement iOS 26’s overall design changes, especially the new Liquid Glass interface that introduces elegant animations and smoother transitions. Together, these upgrades make iPhones feel more modern, customizable, and visually appealing. Apple’s focus on unifying the look across its devices is also noticeable, creating a consistent theme across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. With the combination of Liquid Glass and Spatial Wallpapers, iOS 26 is shaping up to be one of the most visually impressive iOS versions to date, adding an extra layer of fun and personalization for users.
