Nintendo has announced two new titles for the Nintendo Switch 2, revealed during a recent Nintendo Direct presentation. Fans can look forward to a brand-new Yoshi adventure and an enhanced version of the critically acclaimed 2D platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder.
Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is a new platformer set to release in Spring 2026. The game features the classic Yoshi platforming and light puzzle-solving gameplay with a unique art style that appears to be based on a storybook. The story revolves around a talking book named “Mr. E” that falls from the sky, and Yoshi must jump into its pages to investigate the unusual creatures within.
Meanwhile, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which was originally released on the first Nintendo Switch, is getting an expanded Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park. This new version is also scheduled for release in Spring 2026. The biggest addition is a new plaza called “Bellabel Park” filled with multiplayer mini-games. These include competitive challenges like a coin-collecting race and a “Phanto Tag” hide-and-seek game, as well as cooperative modes like a “Bob-omb Relay.” Nintendo has also teased that this enhanced edition will feature “even more content and enhancements,” with some outlets speculating about new levels and the return of the Koopalings.
