Instagram’s Latest Update Supports Episodic Content Through Reel Series

Instagram has launched a new feature that allows creators to link multiple Reels together into a series. This addition is designed to help creators organize their content more effectively and provide viewers with a seamless way to watch related videos in order. For example, creators can now bundle a set of cooking tutorials or episodic stories, making it easier for their audience to follow along.

Creators can link their Reels by adding connections through the caption or by using options in the menu on existing videos. When Reels are linked, a navigation button appears on the bottom left of the screen, enabling viewers to jump to the next video in the series without interruption. This setup encourages longer viewer engagement and richer storytelling by keeping audiences within a connected flow of content.

This update reflects a growing trend in social media toward episodic content and provides Instagram creators with more tools to keep their audiences engaged through structured video sequences.
