Google has released a teaser video showcasing some of the AI-powered features coming with the Pixel 10 series, building anticipation ahead of its official unveiling at the Made by Google event on August 20, 2025.
The teaser positions AI as the centerpiece of the Pixel 10 lineup, contrasting Google’s approach with Apple’s delayed “Apple Intelligence” rollout. While Apple has struggled to deliver on promises around Siri’s AI capabilities, Google has steadily built its ecosystem around Gemini, the company’s advanced AI assistant that is set to replace Google Assistant.
The video highlights several unique capabilities designed to show how AI can enhance everyday smartphone use. One standout example is Super Res Zoom, which uses computational photography and AI to dramatically improve zoomed-in shots of distant subjects, making them appear crisp and detailed. Another highlighted feature is Add Me, which allows users to seamlessly insert themselves into group photos they originally took, by merging multiple images with AI precision.
Google’s messaging in the teaser asks thought-provoking questions such as: “What if your phone could do things other phones couldn’t?” and “What if you asked more of your phone and your phone answered?” These suggest that the Pixel 10 will continue to push AI beyond simple chatbots, extending into practical tools for photography, productivity, and personalization.
The upcoming event is also expected to bring more than just the Pixel 10 series. Google is rumored to unveil the Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds 2a, further expanding its hardware ecosystem.
As competition intensifies between Google, Samsung, and Apple in the AI race, the Pixel 10 series could cement Google’s lead in integrating advanced AI features directly into the smartphone experience.
