Amanda DeLuca, an experienced product manager, has developed a parenting management app called Riley, inspired by her own struggles with parental anxiety and feedback from other families. After her own parenting journey began three years ago, DeLuca and her husband found that their extensive research did not adequately prepare them for the realities of parenthood. They discovered that existing online solutions were inefficient for tracking baby-related events and finding parenting answers.

Riley, currently in public beta, has two primary functions. It allows parents to track activities such as sleep, diaper changes, and feeding, while providing AI-generated insights on optimal nap times and understanding changes in sleep patterns. It also features an AI-driven platform that offers personalized answers based on user data, incorporating medical and psychological research to enhance its knowledge base.

The app’s onboarding process gathers information about parents and their children to tailor suggestions, with plans for more detailed future enhancements. Riley offers a subscription model with a 30-day trial, pricing varying based on billing frequency.

The company aims to exit public beta later this year and introduce educational resources for parents. Riley competes with apps like Huckleberry and Maple and has raised $3.1 million in seed funding to expand its reach. Investors see potential in Riley’s ability to provide science-based advice for parents amidst the challenges of information overload, addressing their need for reliable and personalized guidance.
