The Redmi Turbo 5 Max has officially debuted in China after weeks of teasers, and its biggest highlight is a massive 9,000mAh battery, putting it among the largest-capacity batteries seen in a mainstream smartphone.
The phone is also the first in the world to launch with MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500s chipset. It can be configured with up to 16GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. To help maintain stable performance, Xiaomi has added a large surface vapor chamber cooling system.
Charging is another key highlight, with support for 100W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. The device also includes Xiaomi’s P3 fast-charging chip and the G1 battery management chipset to improve charging efficiency and long-term battery health.
Up front, the Redmi Turbo 5 Max features a 6.83-inch AMOLED 12-bit display using M10 luminescent material, delivering up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a 480Hz touch sampling rate.
For security and selfies, the phone includes a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and a 20MP front camera.
On the back, the device comes with a dual-camera setup featuring a 50MP Light Fusion 600 main sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera.
The Redmi Turbo 5 Max runs HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and includes stereo speakers, an infrared blaster, dual-SIM support, up to an IP69K rating, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and NFC.
The phone is already available in China via Xiaomi’s official online store in Auspicious Cloud White, Ocean Blue, Sunshine Orange, and Shadow Black. Pricing starts at CNY 2,499 (about $360) for the 12GB/256GB version and goes up to CNY 3,099 (about $445) for the 16GB/512GB model.
