Lamborghini Introduces 10-Year Warranty, Matching Kia’s Long-Term Coverage

Lamborghini has officially joined the ranks of automakers offering decade-long warranties, a move that brings its premium ownership experience closer to mainstream brands like Kia. The Italian supercar manufacturer has launched a new warranty extension program designed to give customers peace of mind for up to 10 years after the car’s initial registration.

The program begins with a five-year factory warranty that now comes standard on Lamborghini’s newest models, including the Temerario, the Revuelto, and the Urus SE. Alongside this, the company provides an eight-year warranty for the high-voltage battery systems in its hybrid vehicles, ensuring that even the most advanced components are covered for long-term reliability.

The highlight of this initiative is the Selezione Warranty Extension, which allows owners to extend coverage for their cars up to a full decade—effectively matching Kia’s industry-famous 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty. Lamborghini hasn’t specified a mileage cap for its new plan, but historically, its warranties have been unlimited in mileage, offering unmatched flexibility for owners who drive their cars regularly.

According to Giuliano Cassataro, Lamborghini’s Head of After Sales, the goal of this move is to maintain and even enhance the long-term value of the brand’s cars. “Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to customers throughout the entire lifecycle of their cars,” Cassataro explained. He added that extending warranty protection ensures Lamborghini vehicles stay in top condition, helping safeguard their resale value over time.

This approach also aligns Lamborghini with a growing industry trend where luxury and performance brands are placing more emphasis on after-sales service and long-term ownership satisfaction. Ferrari, for instance, already offers several extended coverage options, with some plans protecting vehicles for up to 15 years and mileage limits as high as 75,000 miles.

Other automakers are following suit. Ram recently announced a 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty for its 2026 1500 pickup, acknowledging that many owners are holding onto their vehicles longer than before. Chevrolet extended the coverage on its 2024 Silverado to 100,000 miles, though only for select models.

Even brands outside the luxury segment are recognizing the appeal of extended coverage. Toyota’s certified pre-owned program, for example, offers a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty for vehicles up to 10 years old with as many as 125,000 miles, giving used car buyers a similar sense of confidence.

With the new 10-year plan, Lamborghini strengthens its commitment to its customers and reinforces its reputation not just as a maker of fast cars, but as a brand built for longevity, reliability, and lasting value.
