Amazon Music has introduced a new artificial intelligence feature called “Weekly Vibe,” which automatically generates personalized playlists for listeners every Monday. The new feature is designed to enhance music discovery by creating a unique mix of familiar songs and new tracks based on the user’s recent listening habits and “musical moods.”
The “Weekly Vibe” playlist is a progression of Amazon’s AI efforts in music curation, building on its previous “Maestro” tool, which allowed users to create playlists from text prompts. The new playlists are a direct effort to compete with similar AI-driven offerings from other streaming services.
Each week’s playlist comes with a new title and is tailored to a specific theme or genre that reflects the user’s evolving tastes. The feature is currently rolling out to customers in the US and can be found in the “Made for You” section of the Amazon Music app. Users can save, share, or simply let the playlist refresh automatically each week.
