Samsung Electronics has introduced its new Sound Tower series at the IFA 2025 technology trade show, with the launch of two new models, the ST50F and ST40F. Designed for large gatherings, these new portable speakers combine advanced acoustic technology with a dynamic, modern design to deliver an immersive party experience through both light and sound.
The flagship ST50F model boasts a robust 240W output, delivered through dual 6.5-inch woofers and 25mm dual dome tweeters. For more compact settings, the ST40F offers 160W of sound from dual 5.25-inch woofers and 20mm dual dome tweeters. Both units feature Samsung’s Waveguide technology to ensure a wider, more even soundstage. For bass lovers, the speakers offer three customizable bass modes: Deep, Punchy, and Gentle, which allow you to tailor the experience to your preferences. Additionally, four other sound modes—Standard, Wide, Stadium, and Outdoor—let you further fine-tune your audio to match any setting, from a backyard barbecue to a packed dance floor.
The new Sound Towers are built for portability and long-lasting performance. The ST50F provides up to 18 hours of playtime on a single charge, while the ST40F offers up to 12 hours. Both models are rated IPX4 for water resistance, making them splash-proof for outdoor use. For easy transport, the ST50F features wheels and a telescopic handle, while the ST40F has an integrated handle as part of Samsung’s new “Grip & Roll” design.
Beyond audio, the speakers feature a vibrant Party Lights+ system that transforms any gathering into an immersive audiovisual experience. With five mood presets and six dynamic lighting patterns, you can set the perfect vibe using a dedicated app. For added entertainment, both models include built-in DJ Booth and Karaoke modes, as well as a guitar input to turn any space into a live performance stage. The new Sound Towers will be available this month with the ST50F priced at an MSRP of $699.99 and the ST40F at $499.99.
