Assort Health has secured a new infusion of capital—raising $50 million in its Series B round—and achieved a valuation of $750 million. The funding, which follows just four months after a $22 million Series A, was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners.
The startup is building AI voice agents specifically for specialty healthcare practices. These agents handle routine yet time-consuming tasks—like booking, rescheduling, cancellations, and answering repetitive patient questions—freeing up staff to focus on more sensitive or complex cases.
Although Assort Health’s annual recurring revenue modestly exceeds $3 million, its rapid expansion is notable.
It began with orthopedic and physical therapy offices but has since broadened its reach to include Ob-Gyn, dermatology, and dental practices.
This investment comes amid a surge in AI-driven solutions easing the strain on medical reception desks. Other companies in similar territory include EliseAI, which just raised a Series E, and Hello Patient, which recently completed its Series A—both making moves to redefine patient communication workflows.
Investors appear convinced that automating patient conversations is the next frontier in digital healthcare, with voice-based AI offering quicker response times and smoother scheduling logic, especially valuable for small to midsize clinics grappling with long hold times and staffing bottlenecks.
