Google has now integrated its Gemini AI assistant directly into the Chrome browser, making advanced AI features accessible on any webpage. This new integration allows users to interact with Gemini without leaving their current browsing session.
By simply clicking a star-shaped icon next to the address bar or typing “@Gemini” followed by the spacebar or tab key, users can open a chat window where the AI can help summarize articles, translate text, compare products, and even hold real-time voice conversations.
Currently, the feature is available to Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers using the English version of Chrome on Windows or macOS in the United States.
Users can enable Gemini by updating their Chrome browser to the latest version and activating it through the settings under the AI innovations section.
Privacy controls are built-in, allowing users to pause or manage their AI activity whenever they choose.
Gemini’s integration aims to enhance productivity and browsing convenience by providing instant AI assistance within the browser environment, eliminating the need to switch between multiple apps or tabs.
