Rivian to Integrate Native Google Maps Navigation Across All Its Electric Vehicles

On July 15, 2025, Google announced that all Rivian electric vehicle models will soon receive native Google Maps navigation through the Google Maps Auto SDK. This integration allows Rivian to maintain its unique interface and EV-specific features, such as charging station planning and charge scores, while combining them with Google’s advanced real-time routing, traffic updates, satellite imagery, and detailed location information. The update will be rolled out globally starting Tuesday for all current Rivian owners. Rivian is also collaborating with other automakers to bring customized Google Maps navigation experiences to more electric vehicles. This partnership aims to improve the in-car navigation experience by merging Rivian’s EV capabilities with Google’s industry-leading mapping technology, delivering a more intuitive, reliable, and feature-rich driving experience across a wide range of vehicles.
