Recent leaks indicate that Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold may surpass the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 in both battery capacity and durability. The device is expected to be unveiled at the company’s “Made by Google” event on August 20, 2025.
According to reports, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will feature a 5,015 mAh battery, significantly larger than the 4,400 mAh unit anticipated in Samsung’s latest foldable. This could provide users with longer battery life and improved performance during intensive tasks.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is also rumored to be the first foldable smartphone with an IP68 rating, offering complete protection against dust and resistance to water submersion. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to carry an IP48 rating, which limits dust resistance.
If confirmed, these improvements would position the Pixel 10 Pro Fold as a serious competitor in the high-end foldable market, potentially challenging Samsung’s dominance in the category.
