A new report suggests that Samsung is set to revive the “base” model in its upcoming Galaxy Tab S11 lineup, while also introducing notable battery upgrades—particularly for the Ultra variant.
According to GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra will see its first battery capacity increase in several generations. The upcoming model is expected to feature a rated battery capacity of 11,374 mAh, which will likely be marketed at around 11,700 mAh or slightly more. For comparison, the current Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra—and some previous Ultra models—offer a rated capacity of 10,880 mAh (advertised as 11,200 mAh). This would mark the first meaningful battery improvement since the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Samsung’s original entry in the extra-large tablet category.
The report also claims that Samsung plans to release just two models in the S11 series: a high-end Ultra and a standard “base” model, similar to the configuration used in the Galaxy Tab S9 series. The base model is expected to carry over the same 8,160 mAh rated battery as the S9, which is marketed as 8,400 mAh.
What this means for the Galaxy Tab “Fan Edition” (FE) lineup remains unclear. In the previous cycle, Samsung launched four tablets, including the Tab S10 FE models, which offered more diverse screen sizes that weren’t addressed by the standard Tab S10+ or Ultra.
There’s no confirmed release date yet for the Galaxy Tab S11 series, but if Samsung sticks to its usual pattern, a September launch could be likely—mirroring the Tab S10’s debut.
