Google is expected to unveil its next generation of flagship smartphones—the Pixel 10 series—at a Made by Google event on August 13th, with the devices reaching store shelves a week later on August 20th, according to a new report.
The launch timeline was first tipped by leaker @MysteryLupin and soon corroborated by Android Headlines, which added that this year’s event will include four Pixel 10 models: the standard Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Google is also likely to introduce the Pixel Watch 4 at the same event.
Leaks suggest the base Pixel 10 model will receive a notable camera upgrade, gaining a telephoto lens to match the triple-camera setup of the Pro models—though possibly at the cost of slightly reduced overall camera quality. Meanwhile, the Pro and Fold variants are expected to retain similar hardware and design as last year’s versions, focusing upgrades primarily on the new Tensor G5 chip and enhanced AI-driven features.
The Pixel Watch 4 is rumored to be thicker than its predecessor, potentially due to a larger battery. Reports also indicate changes to the charging system and the addition of new physical buttons. Notably, it will likely be the first Pixel smartwatch to ship with Google’s Gemini AI assistant built in.
All of the new devices will run on Google’s latest Material 3 Expressive UI design, giving the software a more dynamic and colorful visual identity.
Interestingly, the Pixel 9 series also launched on August 13th last year, but some models, like the 9 Pro Fold, didn’t hit stores until weeks later—something Google appears to be streamlining this time around.
