Apple May Stagger iPhone 18 Launch Across Two Seasons
Apple is reportedly planning a split rollout for its iPhone 18 lineup, with the premium models arriving months ahead of the standard versions, according to The Information, which cites supply chain sources.
Under the new plan, the iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to debut in fall 2026, while the more affordable versions—including a refreshed iPhone 16e—would launch in spring 2027. The report also suggests Apple may unveil its long-rumored foldable iPhone in fall 2026.
Separately, Bloomberg previously reported that Apple is preparing to launch a slimmer phone this year, possibly called the “iPhone 17 Air.” The Information now adds that a follow-up to that model is already on the roadmap for 2026.
As part of its broader strategy, Apple is said to be exploring iPhone 18 production in India for the more budget-friendly models, aiming to reduce dependence on Chinese manufacturing amid rising costs tied to U.S. tariffs.
