On Monday, Apple announced the rollout of visionOS 2.4, which introduces AI features powered by Apple Intelligence to the Apple Vision Pro. This update also brings new spatial experiences and the Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone.
With the integration of Apple Intelligence on the Apple Vision Pro, users can access a range of writing tools that enable them to rewrite, proofread, and summarize text with AI assistance. Additionally, they can utilize Image Playground and Genmoji to create unique AI-generated images and emojis. Moreover, natural language search has been added to the Photos app, allowing users to find specific images simply by describing them. Vision Pro users can also create a “Memory Movie” based on their photos and videos centered around specific themes, thanks to a new feature from Apple Intelligence that launches today. visionOS 2.4 further adds support for several new features, including Priority Messages in Mail, Mail Summaries, Image Wand in Notes, Priority Notifications in the Notification Center, and Notification Summaries.
The initial set of Apple Intelligence features is available to users with their device and Siri language configured to U.S. English. As for the new spatial experiences, Apple is introducing a new app called Spatial Gallery, which provides users with access to a library of spatial content encompassing art, culture, nature, sports, entertainment, and more. This app will be updated regularly with new content, according to Apple. The updated Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone allows users to queue apps for download, access information about their Vision Pro, and receive tips to enhance their experience. The app features a Discover page that highlights recommendations for new experiences on Apple Vision Pro, such as popular apps and games.
In addition, Apple today unveiled new Apple Intelligence features, including a “Priority Notifications” option designed to assist users in managing their notifications by highlighting important alerts and minimizing distractions from less significant ones on the Lock Screen.
Additionally, the tech giant is expanding access to Apple Intelligence in the EU and introducing support for new languages, including French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and simplified Chinese.
