Bespoke Jet AI has introduced an LCD display on its cordless stick vacuum, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra ($1,099), which connects to your phone to show incoming calls and texts, allowing you to answer calls while vacuuming. This vacuum features an auto-empty charging station, 400AW suction power, and a 100-minute battery life. Samsung has also added touchscreens to its washers and dryers, including the Bespoke AI Laundry Vented Combo ($3,099), enabling users to answer calls on a built-in 7-inch LCD screen. Additionally, the Combo automatically dispenses detergent and opens its door once the wash cycle is complete.
Samsung is expanding this phone-answering capability across its entire Bespoke AI line, showcased at CES with appliances like smart fridges and wall ovens. These AI Home control panels feature 7- or 9-inch screens that provide access to music, weather, cooking apps, and smart home controls, all of which require a Samsung account and the SmartThings app.
The smart fridge can come with a 21.5-inch or 32-inch screen that runs various apps, including Samsung TV and TikTok. Users can look up recipes using ingredients detected by AI-powered cameras and send cooking instructions to the oven, making multitasking easier.
The AI Home screens integrate with Samsung’s SmartThings platform, enabling alerts and interactions with other smart devices, such as viewing your Ring doorbell. While Samsung’s “screens everywhere” approach aims to enhance daily life, some may find it excessive, suggesting that a single smart display could serve similar functions at a lower replacement cost.
