Customers of Samsung Electronics Co. who previously relied on their Galaxy Watches to locate lost phones can now utilize the company’s latest refrigerators for the same purpose. The new lineup of Bespoke AI-powered refrigerators comes equipped with a 9-inch home screen that allows users to simply say, “Hi Bixby, find my phone.” The upgraded assistant can recognize the voices of individual family members, ensuring the correct device rings.

In addition, users can control home air conditioners and window blinds using voice commands, with the system automatically adjusting settings based on current weather conditions.

These innovations were highlighted at a recent event in Seoul, where Samsung introduced its new range of home appliances for the year. The company is focusing on maintaining its market leadership by integrating advanced AI technology to create a more connected and personalized experience across its product offerings, which include everything from robot vacuum cleaners to washing machines.

Moon Jeong Seung, head of the R&D team for Samsung’s digital appliance division, noted during a media conference that expanding AI integration across devices is anticipated to drive sales this year. Samsung is strategically leveraging its strong position in both mobile and home appliance markets to enhance its ecosystem, with the ultimate goal of better connecting the half-billion devices it sells globally each year.
