Aston Martin has revealed the flagship V12 Vantage Roadster, featuring a powerful 824 horsepower engine. This model, carrying the Volante suffix, is technically similar to its coupe counterpart, which debuted in September 2024, revitalizing the V12 nameplate in the market.
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage Volante is one of two new GTs that will compete alongside the Ferrari 12-cylinder Spider. This Ferrari model is offered in a convertible version with a 12-cylinder engine.
The 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine produces similar outputs of 824 horsepower and 738 lb-ft (1000 Nm) in both the coupe and roadster models. However, the extra weight of the Volante means that its 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 3.4 seconds, which is 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe. The top speed of this roadster is reported to be 344 km/h, the same as the coupe version.
The price of this vehicle has yet to be confirmed, but it is expected that the V12 Vantage Volante will be slightly more expensive than the coupe, which is priced at £334,000. In comparison, the price of the DB12 Volante is £13,500 (7%) higher than the DB12 coupe, which costs $204,500.
