If you followed CES this year, you might have noticed the intriguing feature of the Asus Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition: a magnetically attached oil diffuser in the lid that releases essential oil aromas as the laptop heats up. Asus has now revealed information about a complementary product called the “Fragrance Mouse.” Announced alongside the company’s Copilot Plus PCs at CES 2025, the mouse is expected to be available in the U.S. around late April or early May, according to company representative Anthony Spence in an email to The Verge.
The Fragrance Mouse features a simple design with two buttons and a scroll wheel, but its unique aspect lies beneath, where a small compartment can hold a refillable vial for your choice of essential oils. In addition to its aromatic function, the mouse operates wirelessly via Bluetooth or a 2.4GHz wireless USB dongle, has adjustable DPI settings (1200dpi, 1600dpi, and 2400dpi), and is powered by a single AA battery. Asus offers it in eye-catching Iridescent White or Rose Clay finishes.
However, you may not be able to purchase a complete aromatic laptop and mouse bundle just yet, as the Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition has only been launched in China since its introduction in July 2024, as noted by Ars Technica.
