According to a recent report from Bloomberg, the Apple Vision Pro may soon receive an update that will introduce Apple Intelligence to the headset. The initial features of Apple Intelligence began to be implemented on iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices last fall, with additions such as notification summaries, ChatGPT integration for Siri, and Genmoji being introduced over the past few months. However, Apple’s AI capabilities have yet to reach the Vision Pro. Mark Gurman suggests that this could change with the upcoming visionOS 2.4 update, expected in April, which may include Apple Intelligence and a new application for viewing spatial media, such as 3D images and panoramas.
The first features of Apple Intelligence to be available on the Vision Pro are likely to include Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground. Gurman indicates that developers could begin accessing these features in beta as early as this week. However, significant updates to Siri on the Vision Pro are not anticipated at this time. Gurman notes that a planned “major AI overhaul” for the assistant has been postponed.
